Robotic Pizza Deliveries

Piping hot pizza delivered to your robot

Meet DRU (Domino’s Robotic Unit), a world first in autonomous commercial delivery of pizzas. The newest recruit to the Domino’s family promises to deliver your pizza with a friendly persona and some guiding light to help customers interact with the Robot.

DRU, pronounced “Drew”, has four wheels with inbuilt compartments to keep the pizzas piping hot and drinks icy cold whilst traveling on the footpath from the store to the customer’s door. DRU is able to navigate from a starting point to a defined destination and select the best path. On-board sensors enable DRU to avoid obstacles. Dominos says the mission of Drew is to improve the safety and efficiency of home deliveries.

While DRU won’t be hitting the streets tomorrow,  Dominos is confident that in the not too decent future DRU will be delivering piping hot takeout to your door.
