Bethesda is offering a $30 Fallout 4 Season Pass for all Fallout 4 platforms (Steam, PS4 and Xbox One). The Season Pass will buy all of the game’s paid DLC content. Bethesda claims that its DLC will be worth $40 at least which, if true, makes buying the Season Pass up front a little cheaper.
On Bethesda.net the developer published “To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30. Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year… we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass…”
The specifics of the DLC content remains in the shadows however speculation on the inter-webs has included an underwater exploration DLC supported by previous concept art shown at E3 in 2015 featuring an underwater setting.
A Fallout 4 player also discovered a new but inaccessible area after accidentally falling into the ocean and following a mysterious light source. The player was met by an in game message “You cannot go that way.” This may just be the standard message for running into the game world boundaries, however some have suggested that it is a gateway to a DLC. It does seem odd and a bit wasteful to have a game pathway to a dead end.
The Fallout 4 DLC’s are expected in the early part of 2016, which could mean anytime in the first half of the year. The season pass is available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam.
